What is the Public Relation Team (PR)?
The primary mission of the Public Relations Team is to provide resources and information about the program of Narcotics Anonymous both to the the public and to members within the NA fellowship.
The public-facing part of the committee provides information booths at local community events, gives presentations within schools on a per request basis, as well as provides and maintains literature "racks" with informational pamphlets in probation offices, schools, etc. The team also fields requests for information and/or presentations from outside service agencies, probation/parole departments, other professional organization, as well as from the general public. The internal-facing part of the committee manages the phone line system to make sure the latest meeting locations, events, and volunteer opportunities are available to the public and to the members of the NA community. A newcomer workshop is also held weekly on Tuesdays (see Meetings).
Help is always needed! PR is a great way to give back and to help carry the message of recovery to those that need it. If you're curious, please come to the Monthly PR meeting and check it out! Everyone is welcome!!
